It is with very great sadness and regret that we announce the loss of our very respected Club President Malcolm Fawcett who passed away on Saturday morning.
This is a very great loss to his family, friends and members of York Knavesmire Harriers. Malcolm was very much liked and well respected by the membership and was also known to a great number of other running clubs.
Malcolm has been a faithful member of our club from the very early days and gained respect from not only York Knavesmire Harriers but from the wider running community across North Yorkshire and further afield.
The funeral service will be held at St John the Baptist Church, Kirk Hammerton at 2.30pm on Wednesday, 10 June.
Family flowers only have been requested.
