Next Intro to Fell Running – Aug 29th

Date: Saturday 29th August at 10am

Location: Lockton, Near Pickering, YO18 7QB

Kit: There is no required kit but bring the shoes with the biggest tread you have.

Knavesmire Harriers are running a second “Introduction to Fell Running” session which is open to all club members. You don’t need any previous fell running experience or any fancy kit to come along, as long as you can manage around 4 miles you will be able to take part. This will be a good opportunity to try out fell running without the pressure of a race and it will be run on the same course as the October Club Run.

The plan is to meet at Lockton which is north of Pickering on the southern edge of the North Yorks Moors. The full course is 6.5 miles and there will be a shorter 4 mile course as well. Each route will be led by one of the clubs regular fell runners. Once the run is over the local pub is a good place to refuel and chat about a great day on the fells.

If you are interested in taking part or if you are one of our experienced fell runners and you are happy to lead a group please let me know at mr_croberts@hotmail.com or 07720 710411. Lifts can be arranged for those members who do not have their own transport.

I will send out more information including the race map to those interested nearer the time.
