| York Knavesmire Harriers Running Club is affiliated to the York and District Road Race League.
The York and District 10K
Road Race League takes place each year during the months of May, June and July.
Eight local running clubs compete in seven 10K Road Races at venues in and
around York and district. Clubs take it in turn to organise an event in their
area and accurate times and places are taken and published for each race.
Approximately 200 runners take part in each race out of 400 registered runners.
Clubs compete in their club colours and are given points and positions in
categories reflecting age, gender and club. Races are on alternate Tuesday evenings and this years races are on the following dates. May 1st Pocklington May 15th Tadcaster May 29th Easingwold June 12th Knavesmire June 26th Bishop Wilton July 10th Selby July 24th Stillington Entry forms and further information will be given nearer the time. Meanwhile, please put these dates in your diary. York Knavesmire Harriers will be hosting the race at Bishop Wilton on 26th June. If you are not running this event, please will you volunteer to help? Volunteers will be needed in the following areas - car parking, marshalling, water station, timekeeping. Any offers to help at Bishop Wilton will be gratefully accepted NOW.
