The Magnificent Sevenths at the Yorkshire Cross Country Championships

The Magnificent Sevenths

Saturday’s trip to Lightwater Valley ably demonstrated the club’s superb team spirit .
It was a joy to see the club field a good number of runners in both the Ladies and Men’s races, and our strong individual performances and great team results showed once again that we are both York’s and North Yorkshire premier running club. It was superb to see the club having enough runners to be able to have ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams in both the Senior Men’s and Ladies races

It was a cracking day out enjoyed by all, with everyone giving each other great support and encouragement, special thanks to Pete Schofield and Andy Neale for their support on the day and the time they give to help us train for events such as this.

The team bonding continued into the evening with a few beers and a indian meal.

It’s now onwards on upwards for our intrepid XC runners, to Pontefract for the Northerns and then the main event the legendary Nationals at Parliament Hill, London.
