Grand Prix
Events
York
Knavesmire Harriers have supported and enjoyed this series
of races for a number of years and we are looking forward to
another challenging competition in 2013.
A series of 10 races
hosted by different running clubs around Yorkshire. Race distance is usually
less than 6 miles and is often partly or mainly off road. A number of the
courses are hilly which makes for great cross training for those who usually run
flatter road races. Free food is available after each race and there are often
changing and shower facilities. No need to pre-book. Each race costs £4.00 which
is payable on the day. A number is provided to you at your first race which is
kept for the remainder of the series.
There are individual prizes within the various age groups at each race. In
addition each finisher of each race scores points for the club which go toward
team prizes. In 2007 York Knavesmire Harrier Ladies won the All Races to Count
team trophy.
