Hope everyone had a good run and social evening. (Feedback welcome)
Many thanks to Mike McGrath for persisting with East Yorkshire Council and
Humberside Police to permit the race. Also Steve Cooke for setting up the course
signage, aswell as Jean, Dick Hunter and Mike for their thoughts after the
event.

Race 3 - Easingwold
Round 3 of the summer league race was in Easingwold a tough
course with hills hills and more hills. Despite the weather and the rain all day
a good turn out for Knavesmire Harriers, in total approximately 56 Harriers
including new members running the summer league for the first time and they are
all running strong. Congratulations to Kate Nelson 1st Lady & Vicky Whitelock’s
first season of summer league achieved 45 minutes on a tough course. The results

Well done to all other Knavesmire Harriers coming after these times you all ran
brilliantly. Next one Bishop Wilton come on Knavesmire lets all do our best – I
know we can do it!!
It was also great to have the support of other club runners not running. It is
always so nice to see a fellow club member cheering us on. Thanks to all who
turned out.

Well done to all who took part. 57 Knavesmire Harriers competed,
with the average time of runners being 48mins21secs! (the average time taken by
all runners in the race was 46mins39secs).
First Harrier home was Kev Langan in 37:59, followed by Kate Nelson (second
female and 1st in category) in 38:27. There were category wins for Harold
Dobson, Sarah Nettleton, Margaret Metcalfe, and 2nd place in category for John
Oliver.
