Weekly threshold sessions to commence Thursday 10th April, Knavesmire Road, 18:30 at (Hamilton Panthers).
Sessions will run from April until September and are designed to improve the body’s ability to buffer the build-up of lactic acid.
This particular training format assists with incremental improvements in endurance speed, particularly when employed regularly and made part of a structured training schedule.
These sessions involve repeated efforts at a comfortably hard pace over a measured mile and one-kilometre course, linked with appropriate recovery periods and warm-up/warm-down time.
Yours in running,
Richard Gott / CIRF
