BRASS MONKEY ENTRIES

Whether you are a keen club runner, doing your first half marathon or just running for fun this is the race for you. Famed for it’s warm and friendly atmosphere, encouraging marshals, efficient organisation and now in it’s 35th year.

The date for the 2017 race is Sunday 15th January 2017.

Entries for the race are set to open on Saturday 22nd October 2016 at 6:00 am.

Fees

UKA Affiliated club members: £22 plus a small transaction fee charged for debit/credit card processing

Non-affiliated runners: £24 plus a small transaction fee charged for debit/credit card processing

There will be no registrations on the day.

Location
The race is based at York Racecourse and we once again have use of the Ebor Stand for the provision of hot & cold drinks*, light refreshments*, toilets, baggage storage and limited changing facilities.(*subject to small a charge).

Route
The route is fast and flat, heading southwards through Bishopthorpe, Acaster Selby, Appleton Roebuck and back through Bishopthorpe to finish behind the Racecourse grandstands.

The course is on public roads , Bishopthorpe Road will only be closed from the start to Bishopthorpe Palace, all other roads will be open to traffic, so please follow the pre race instructions and those of the marshals.

Parking
Limited free parking is available. Please follow signs and directions.

Rules
The race is not suitable for wheelchairs.
MP3’s, Ipod’s, wearing of headphones are not permitted (for safety reasons.)
For logistical reasons there is a 2h:45m cut off time for completing the course.

UKAthletics Road Race Licence has been applied for, the course is certified accurate by the Assoc’ of UK Course Measurers, and we have UK Athletics BARR Gold Grade.
