Club Welfare Officers

The role of the welfare officer is to support England Athletics aim of creating “an environment where everyone involved in athletics and running feels safe and welcome to enable them to be the best they can be.” Emma Davenport, Head of club and participants (England Athletics safeguarding lead)

The welfare officers can support club members with issues such as safeguarding, bullying, poor practice in coaching and disciplinary matters. York Knavesmire Harriers aims to ensure the safety and enjoyment of its athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers.
