2013 Vets Year End Report

With several of our stalwart vets sustaining injuries and the inevitable race clashes it has been a somewhat depleted team effort this year.

However in true YKH style we competed in all the Grand Prix events of the year as well as in a few of the Championship races. Congratulations and thanks to all who ran for our team with special mention to Liz Matthews who in addition to finishing as 3rd F50 lady competed in all of the GP races.

Great to see a few new faces flying the flag with Neil Stabbs achieving a very creditable 5th place in the M35 category. Well done Neil, thanks for helping out with the race report. Great running all season from both Peter Welsh and Ian Bithell who achieved 9th and 4th places respectively in their age categories.

Thanks again to all our club members who have helped and supported me and the team this year. Without their help our very successful August race would not be held. If anyone has any ideas or would like to help in 2014 please get in touch.

Personally I would like to thank everyone for their kindness shown after my recent surgery. I am pleased to report that with the help of my pacemaker I am now firing on all cylinders and can’t wait to beat those Pudsey rivals.

You can catch up on all the latest vets news by visiting the yvva website where you will find all the proposed event details but if you would like to find out more please give me a call.

Good luck to one and all in the New Year. We hope that some of you will join us next year and that once again we can be in the race for the trophies.
