Vet’s Cross Country Championship Nunroyd Park 28th September Beautiful late summer sunshine – soft and grassy underfoot with minimal mud and inclines- not the usual vets cross country conditions! Middleton wins Middleton Cup

August saw the inaugural hosting of the pretigious "Middleton Cup", with its honorary namesake, club-legend-John-Middleton, claiming glorious victory. As background, YKH Social Secretary, Richard Tarrega, bet YKH Members Secretary, Alistair McQueen (after a couple of cheeky cocktails - honestly) that Alistair could not beat club-legend-John-Middleton in any of the 2014 summer league races.
