It was just as the song goes MUD GLORIOUS MUD, MORE MUD, AND EVEN MORE MUD. As ever in true grit sytle the above 30 members ran the race and it was great to see Phillip Elliott Dick racing and coming 4th overall. Kirsty Vogan and Cassie did fantastic too and I cannot confirm for sure but they may have won the ladies prizes. By the end of the race all I wanted to do was get changed out of my very muddy shoes and clothes. My feet were so black even after a bath I had to soak them in MILTON!!! : ) Saying that I would do it again it was not an easy race and EVERY single member who ran it no matter where they came in the position did brilliant. It was great to see some new members running as well as long standing members run. Don’t forget the next club run is THIRSK looking forward to seeing you at the next race.
