—West Yorkshire Cross Country League – Race #4 Oulton.
Champions
-Senior Ladies.
The Knavesmire team claimed the title of League Champions in emphatic style . With our first 4 to count all in the top six we had our third team victory in the series of 4 races.
The Ladies ran 1 small and 2 large laps for a distance of just over 5km, the weather was fine verging on warm but the course was muddier than we have been used to in parts making for more of a challenge.

-Individual League Results:
Becky Penty was crowned overall league champion, with Josie Rawes second and Nik Tarrega fourth.
In the Senior Women age category ( 20 -34) Josie was the league winner with Nik second, and Becky took the 35+ crown.
Great performances all round , not just from the medal winners, everyone played their part supporting the team and should share in the glory.
Yorkshires , Northerns and Nationals hopefully ( ??) here we come.
-Senior Men.
Persistence, perseverance and consistency paid off for the YKH Men’s team who had their best team result at the league’s final 5 lap 10km race. Fourth place here was enough to claim the League’s Bronze medal, a prize that we could only have dreamed of after the first two races.

Barry Atkinson was crowned 60+ Men’s Champion, Gareth Green was second M40+ , Giles Hawking was 3rd M45+ and Laurence Griffin did commendably well to finish in the top ten overall.

Hem Rana has been crowned the King of North Yorkshire Moors Ultra distance racing. He completed 4 races in the Hardmoors Grandslam competition of 35, 55,60 and 160 miles through the year and had the best results across all four.
