It was TOUGH, but lived up to its billing of lots of mud, hills and two huge puddles up to mid-calf depth in part. At the moment I’m saying “never again” but in all fairness it was an iconic, memorable, well organised and very friendly race so who knows this time next year! Will fork out for trail shoes if there is a next time.
