Vets Report- Spenborough

5 male vets   travelled across to Spenborough Athletics Track, for the final vets grand prix of 2015.

As we travelled along the M62 on Remembrance Sunday we were thinking that maybe we would have to swim around the course with the amount of rain coming down! But when we got there the weather faired up and we all paid our respects to the men and women who gave their lives for us.

The race was a multi-terrain course with a lap and a half around the Spenborough track to begin with. After this there was lots of fences and stiles to negotiate along with the mud. The race finished with a final sprint around the track. 1st home for Knavesmire was Danny Chan , congratulations to Danny as he secured 3rd place in the M40 overall grand prix table. 2nd home was Bill Shively (right behind Danny). 3rd home was Pete Downes,, 4th home was Ian Bithell, congratulations to Ian for securing 3rd place in M70 overall grand prix table. Duncan Chambers was our 5th man home making a welcome return after a long injury.

WELL DONE to everybody who ran and also supported the Grand Prix races this season.
