—Sedbergh Hills  .

a  14 mile mile fell race featuring some steep ascent / descents on lovely grassy fells, total climbing of 1830 m ‘s.

53rd Andrew Pattinson  3:26:57

Andrew said ” The forecast of widespread low fog and persistent rain didn’t put me off heading to the Sedbergh Hills Fell race. At 14miles with 1800metres of ascent, it’s a tough race over remote fell terrain.

The fog played a bit of havoc with my route finding, resulting in an extra mile, an extra hill and a deep river crossing. Eventually stumbling across the 5th Checkpoint and refinding the course, I was able to finish a little under 3.5hours and in 53rd place – the departure from the course costing me a good 20 minutes and something like 20 places.

A great adventure and challenge, but a bit more training required for next year!”

—Kong Mini Mountain Marathon.
