—Saltaire Stampede.

The race clock will be set to 70 mins, and will count down to zero. You decide when you want to start, based on how long you think it will take you to run the course, but you must get back before the clock reaches zero! The winner will be the last person to set off, provided he / she gets back in time. The race should end with a stampede along Dockfield Road back into the brewery yard as the clock mercilessly ticks down to 0:00. Those who leave it too long and fail to ‘beat the clock’ will be eliminated from the results!

30th Clare Moffatt  49:04 ( 2nd FV45 )   Beat the clock by 55 seconds

Despite a forecast of rain and cloud the Lake District defied the gloomy predictions  and was hot, sunny and the mountain tops afforded great views of the far off lakes of Windermere, Ullswater and Haweswater.
The Kentmere Horseshoe is a 12 mile fell race around the head of the   Kentmere Valley, the routes highest points being Ill Bell ( 757 m ), High Street (828m ) and Kentmere Pike ( 730 m ).
