—Levisham Limping Fell Race.

Good to see some new faces tackling the terrain of the Moors, 21 runners from YKH and Knavesmire’s Ladies won the female team prize.


The third race in the Lets Run North Yorkshire Moors Fell Running Winter Series .
This race was 7 miles in length and was rather muddy in the valley bottom.

The next off-road adventure is the 9 mile Eskdale Eureka on the 1st of December, near Castleton, proceeds go to the Cleveland Mountain Rescue.
Should you wish to have a go the club has two  mandatory kit bags to loan out to members , please contact the club secretary (clubsecretary@yorkknavesmireharriers.co.uk)  in good time to arrange. You will need to provide your own grippy shoes ( inov8 mudclaw/ xtalon  / Salomom Speedcross etc ).


—TCS New York Marathon.

Richard Walker  joined 53,000 other runners on the streets of the ‘Big Apple’ , he was 3194th in a time of 3:14:18.
He found it to be ” a fantastic event – superbly organised with great weather and crowd support the whole way – would thoroughly recommend this race for any keen marathon runner.”
