Several Harriers made the trip across to The Lake District at the weekend to take part in the second race of the popular Lakeland Trails series at Staveley. It’s a tough but thoroughly enjoyable 18km race, on rough Lakeland trails, over 360m of ascent with a sharp little ‘sting in the tail’ just 2km from the finish.
Victoria Sewell ran in the faster race, finishing 2nd lady in a gun time of 1:26:57.
The rest of us ran in the challenge race, same course, just more leisurely!

Helen Leech completed the four lap Marathon , Su Adams ran the two lap Half Marathon and Paul Adams was on marshalling duty, at this scenic race in parkland near Rotheram.

Neil Stabbs ran this fell race fell race South West of Sheffield on the edge of the Peak District. Neil was 10th with a time of 34:02.
