Next Vets Races

Vets 2014 Grand Prix series Just a quick up date for all YKH vets both new and those who have already enjoyed the experience. The next race is at Crossgates Leeds on Tuesday the 29th July. We are meeting to share lifts at 6.15pm prompt at the back of the Racecourse. Vet’s Grand Prix Series. Report – West Vale Wednesday 9th July

Vet’s Grand Prix Series.   West Vale Wednesday 9th July   Well done to our three gents who turned out to run this event. Strong showings at the Washburn Valley Relays

Report by Stewart Creasey The Washburn Valley Relays – a race of three legs around the Fewston and Swinsty reservoirs near Otley – attracted approximately 60 teams this year. Among them were both a Men’s and a Ladies’ team from Knavesmire Harriers. The Men’s team consisted of Chris Roberts, Neil Stabbs and I, whilst Sarah Attwood, Cassie Holmes and Nik Vogan represented the Ladies. Osmotherley Phoenix 2014 Report

Five Knavesmire Harriers entered the Osmotherley Phoenix this year with Simon Collins, Phil Richardson and Margaret Metcalfe running the 17 Mile route and myself stepping up to the 26 mile route from the 17 last year along with Michael Denner. I had been hoping for a cooler day this year but once again the sun was shining and it was already starting to get quite hot.
