Kilburn Feast 7 – Report

KILBURN FEAST Runners dilemmas’  - report by Maureen Medlar Ok – so Sunday 13th July free – time to find a race! Spoilt for choice – perhaps a 17,26 or even 33 mile run at Osmotherley? No - not enough training – 10 mile at Eccup? – again not enough training. 7.3 miles at Kilburn including afternoon tea? No contest - done plenty of cake training lately! Helpers required for Knavesmire Vets Race – Weds 6.Aug

YVAA Vets Race - York Knavesmire The Vet's race is on Wednesday evening, 6th August and we would appreciate some help with marshalling etc. The race starts at 7.30pm so marshals need to be down at the back of the Racecourse Grandstand by 6.30pm. ‘Mixed’ Success at Danefield Relays

Report by Neil Stabbs The evening of Tuesday 1st July saw the annual running of the Danefield Relay, taking on 3 x 3 mile laps of the Chevin Country Park, north of Leeds. Knavesmire hadn’t fielded a team for a few years, so 3 of us decided to head over to see how we fared on what turned out to be a tough course with a killer climb at the end.
