An absolute classic of a race, with runners  ascending Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. Conditions were good this year, not too hot or cold and no wind. As if 24 miles and three mountains were not enough,  runners have to reach the intermediate points of Ribblehead in 2hrs 20 mins or Chapel-le-Dale in 3hrs 40 mins or they will be timed out. ---Yorkshire Wolds 10k - YDRRL Race #5. Becky Penty made a triumphant return to the Summer League after a 7 year absence, she was 1st Lady and 10th overall. Bishop Wilton 10k – report

Report by Ed Mezzetti. IAN Ellwood secured his maiden victory in the York & District Road Race League with an impressive performance on the challenging Bishop Wilton course. Ellwood (York Postal Harriers) showed his strength over the undulating circuit to triumph by more than 30 seconds in round five of the 10k league. Knavesmire 10k Report.

Report by Ed Mezzetti Stuart Grange sealed the York & District Road Race League men’s title with two rounds to spare after a dominant victory at the Knavesmire. Grange (York Knavesmire Harriers) now has three wins and one second place in the 10K series - and with runners’ best four results from six counting, his points tally cannot be bettered.
