RESULTS Tadcaster 10k YDRRL Race #2 report by Ed Mezzetti. EMMA Ballantyne made it two wins from two York & District Road Race League meetings with victory in humid conditions at Tadcaster. The City of York AC runner was pushed far harder than in round one of the 10km league, with clubmate Jessica Troy finishing just 13 seconds adrift. Results. Kim Critchley rolled back the years to take victory in the opening round of the York & District Road Race League at Pocklington. The vet 40 athlete seldom runs on the roads these days, but showed his class to head a York Knavesmire Harriers one-two-three in the wet conditions. In the women’s competition, City of York occupied the top two spots as Emma Ballantyne, who was third in the 2017 series, took the spoils ahead of Jessica Troy. York Knavesmire Harriers Running Club is affiliated to the York and District Road Race League. The York and District 10K Road Race League takes place each year during the months of May, June and July. Eight local running clubs compete in seven 10K Road Races at venues in and around York and district. Clubs take it in turn to organise an event in their area and accurate times and places are taken and published for each race.
