Hadrians Wall Half race report by Andy Bell On the evening of the 28th of June I marched north from York towards Hadrians Wall in the footsteps of the Roman IX legion. A 2 hour drive saw me to my overnight stay in the small village of Acomb (no relation to our local version !) near Hexham. Great Summer's evening racing out on the Moors, fine individual efforts and victory in both Male and Female Team competitions rewarded with many bottles of plonk. The almost 6 mile race was the 4th in the Northern Runner North Yorkshire Moors Summer Series, and featured a bit more road than usual.
