—Vienna Marathon.

I ran the Vienna marathon on Sunday. It was a lovely course taking in all the sights of the city, including where Eliud Kipchoge did his 1:59 marathon. It was a beautiful day but maybe a bit too warm in the latter stages, and I finished in 3:51:19.

‘Gisborough’ Moors Fell Race.

A 12 mile fell race starting at Guisborough and taking in the delights of Captain Cook’s monument , parts of the Cleveland Way and the ‘Yorkshire Matterhorn’ Roseberry Topping.
The race name is misspelt because many years ago a woolly hat with the race name sewn into it was ordered from an Italian manufacturer for each runner, unfortunately the Italian’s are not that familiar with the spelling of Guisborough, and the race name was changed to ‘Gisborough’ Moors so the hats would be correct.
We are now onto the North York Moors Summer Series starting with the Fox & Hounds (15km/580m) on 14th May @Yorkshire Cycle Hub Fryup, then Glaisdale Rigg (13.7km/562m).
