2014 National Cross Country Championships – report

English National Cross Country Championships at Wollaton Hall and Deer Park Nottingham. 22nd February. http://youtu.be/4qSPz5oEnkg Great running from our Ladies and Men at the Nationals , a fantastic event with good  running in the  parkland of  Wollaton Hall (except the muddy  bit later in  video!). Our Ladies did tremendously well finishing as 36th team of 83 to finish. Northern Cross Country Championships @ Knowsley Safari Park.

Mud, Mud , Glorius Mud. It was muddy,  we got dirty, it wasn't easy and that's how some of us  like it. The easy races are quickly forgotten , but the ones that challenge us  live on, strengthening our mind and body for future challenges. Yorkshire XC Championships

Lightwater Valley was the venue for the Yorkshire Cross Country Championship and the first Harriers club run of the year. The course was a little muddier than last year after the recent rain but the rain held off on the day. In the Ladies Race we had our best turnout in a few years with 6 Ladies competing. West Yorkshire League – Nunroyd Park

Nunroyd Park was the scene for the final race of the West Yorkshire League Cross Country series. We arrived in good time and were ably supported by Team Manager Andy Neale, who was threatening to throw his pork pie at any York Acorn runners who got in our way. We headed out for a warm-up and to inspect the course, as has been the case for most of the series the conditions were dry and mild with only a hint of mud.
