Report by Kirsty Harvey On a bright sunny Sunday morning (yes really) in Sowerby Bridge, gathered some hardy souls ready to do battle in the Canalathon - a 50k race along the canal towpath from Manchester to Sowerby Bridge. Last Call for Calderdale…. 2015 sees the 31st running of the Calderdale Way Relay on Sunday 17th May. This is Britain’s biggest club-run off-road event with around 90 teams and over 1,000 runners taking part in the 2014 edition. We’re looking for runners to join the Knavesmire teams hoping to take part in this year’s event. 20 runners have signed up already, so we need 4 more runners (plus a few reserves) to give us enough for a second team. English National Cross Country Championships @ Parliament Hill, London – Report

Some say the streets in the Capital are paved with gold, for those seeking cross country glory on Saturday they found London's historic course was coated in mud. Parliament Hill situated in North London's Hampstead Heath offers stunning panoramic views of capital's skyline. The undulating and picturesque parkland had received plenty of rain in the week so despite race day being fairly warm and sunny, conditions quickly became very muddy around the course. Ladies 7th at Northern XC Championships

The first club run of the year was the Northern XC Championships and we had a good turnout with 28 Harriers heading to Pontefract. The course was a lot muddier than three years ago which made for tough going. The Ladies team was once again the star performers taking 7th place in the team competition, our best ever Ladies result at a Northerns.
