The first club run of the year was the Northern XC Championships and we had a good turnout with 28 Harriers heading to Pontefract. The course was a lot muddier than three years ago which made for tough going. The Ladies team was once again the star performers taking 7th place in the team competition, our best ever Ladies result at a Northerns. The Magnificent Sevenths Saturday's trip to Lightwater Valley ably demonstrated the club's superb team spirit . It was a joy to see the club field a good number of runners in both the Ladies and Men's races, and our strong individual performances and great team results showed once again that we are both York's and North Yorkshire premier running club.
