Vet’s Grand Prix Series. Race 8
Bingley Tuesday 12th August
Two challenges in one with this race – the short but tough course is hard enough but getting to the event proved to be an event in itself.
Straight uphill to start the heart and limbs were racing from the off. Undulating woody and tricky pathways give way to open moorland with the chance to admire the view if you dared! A short canal stretch with time to catch your breath follows before another steep climb and finally a real plummet down to the finish.
Well done to all our ‘boys’ Pete Downes being our first man home followed by Dave Hutchinson Roger Bilsby and Michael Collins. Great that you all got to the race and finished in fine form.
