Weekend Round up 31 Oct – 1st Nov. Ladies Team 2nd at XC & more..

Yet another weekend of great running from Knavesmire Harriers club members, with a great variety of events entered and some great results.
Ladies Team Huddersfield XC 2015
-Knavesmire’s Ladies got the weekend off to a great start in Huddersfield with possibly their best ever result in the West Yorkshire Cross Country League. The Ladies fielded a strong team and all ran supremely well , contributing to achieving second placed team of thirteen that took part .
Scout Adkin had a great race to finish third and was followed by :

-The Guy Fawkes 10 was as popular as ever with our runners this year attracting 40 club members.

-Sunday saw a number of Harriers taking to the Moors for an exhilarating 12.5 miles of  fell running action in the Guisborough Moors race, taking in the sights of Captain Cooks Monument and Roseberry Topping
Yet again we had a team victory in the North Yorkshire Moors series, we were also rewarded with a reprieve from the fog that had enveloped York, up on the Moors it was clear skies and warm sunshine.

-York Parkrun was Halloween themed and saw a record attendance with over 500 taking part, 35 of whom were from Knavwesmire.

-In New York the famous Marathon was run by Julie Rooks , Michelle Atkins , Jayne Fligg and Stephen Maddison, he lead the way with a time of 2:57.
