xc15Great result for York Knavesmire Harriers Ladies Team, after the final race at Nunroyd Park on Sunday afternoon they have claimed third place overall in the highly competitive West Yorkshire Cross Country league.

–Frostbite 35 Ultramarathon

Frostbite 35 up in Nidderdale North Yorkshire, A very wet race with three river crossings , two with just a rope to pull yourself across waist high  , plenty of water coming off the fells.
Big thumbs up to Sarah Attwood who finished in 7 hours 16,ferostbite35

–Gravy Pud Race.

Neil Stabbs was sixth at the 5 mile Fell race in the Peak District.

–Liz Matthews now residing and running in Perth,  Australia

Another 7am run with WA Masters , at Mosman Park near Fremantle. Looked like a nice out and back course along the Swan River. At the pre-race briefing the director mentioned that it was a tough hilly course, with a strong headwind. I wasn’t worried, us Yorkshire folk are a tough lot, and it couldn’t be worse than our Vets races – no mud for a start. Then he mentioned that they had just bought a defibrillator, and several members were trained in its use! Fortunately it wasn’t needed, although he was right about the hills!

–York Parkrun

23 members of YKH took part in Parkrun on Saturday morning.

We had a first timer in Ken Tinker and a Parkrun Pb for Jane-Marie Bracchi.

–An honorable mention to Su and Paul Adams who had an arduous journey attempting to get to the  Langdale Christmas Pudding 10km which was cancelled.
