Congratulations to our runners at this North Yorkshire 10k, Stuart Grange was the race winner  ( 34:02 ) with Gareth Green second ( 35:25) and Nik Tarrega was first Lady ( 41:04)  with Emily Baines third Lady ( 41:47).

David Smithers was first M40 (35:44), Stephen Maddison third M40 ( 37:58 ).

With such well placed runners it was no surprise that we won both the Men’s and Ladies teams prizes.

—40th Yorkshire Three Peaks Race.

Simon Collins and Andy Smith ran this classic fell race in the Yorkshire Dales. The tough 23 mile race featuring climbs of Pen-y-ghent , Whernside and Ingleborough.

‘Devilish’ Andy Smith a happy man at the finish of the Yorkshire Three Peaks.

Simon had his best three Peaks so far and cruised under the hallowed 4 hour barriers with a time of 03:49:46  for 125th place.

Andy also had a great run finishing in 04:51:25.


—Highland Fling Relay.

Sarah Attwood , Stef Durkin and Ewan Kirk made for a 75% representation for the club in Team Yorkies, which took part in the 4 leg Highland Fling Relay.

Together with Sharon Lynn they had a great day running legs of approx half marathon length along the West Highland Way , featuring such scenic delights as running along the shores of Loch Lomond and in the Trossachs National Park .

—Keswick Half Marathon.

Sue and Paul Adams and Helen Leach ran this tremendously scenic Lake District Half Marathon, the race route does a loop around Derwent Water and  Newlands Valley  .

—Coniston Fell Race.

Barry Atkinson was 1st M55 at this classic Lake District fell race , finishing the 7.4miles and  900m of ascent race in  01:33:47.

The race featured climbs of Wetherlam, Swirl How and The Old Man of Coniston.
