Levisham Limping Fell Race.

A little Fell Race the club organises as part of the Esk Valley North Yorkshire Moors series. The race is actually bases at the lovely village of Lockton just North of Pickering.

The race follows a  deep sided valley where you may be lucky to spot a steam train near Levisham station , before the route climbs out onto the open moor, before descending into a series of wooded gorges for the latter stages of the route.

One of the main draws of this race is the fine selection of W.I baked cakes that can be bought at the village hall.
