—National Road Relay Championships  – 12 Stage Men and 6 stage Ladies.

Sutton Park , Birmingham.

Knavesmire’s Ladies finished 35th of 48 teams in their 6 stage race and in the 12 stage Mens race we were 48th of 63 teams competing.

—‘Gisborough’ Moors Fell Race.

The Classic North Yorkshire Moors Fell Race, 12.5 miles , taking in Captain Cooks monument , Roseberry Topping and Highcliffe Nab.

Plenty of beer won by our Men’s team competition  winners .

First in a monthly series of 5k races held at York Sports Village, organised by Racebest.

—Boston Marathon –  USA Massachusetts.

Stephen Maddison and Clare Rowntree before at Boston’s Jamaica Pond Parkrun , a nice warm up before the main event ( although Stephen set a new course M45 record time ! ) .

The oldest annual marathon in the world , the 122nd running of the Boston Marathon took place  on Patriots day ( Monday 16th ) in cold wet ( torrential rain )  and windy condition .
Clare said of her arce ” Conditions were shocking. There was snow on the ground at the start and continuous heavy rain and high winds. I thought I was going to collapse at 19 so pleased to finish”

Richard said ” Despite the cold it was an amazing experience – would thoroughly recommend this to any Harrier who hasn’t given it a go.”
