—Ian Hodgson Mountain Relay.

Scout and Chris racing ( each other ! ) to the leg 4 finish.

A tough and hotly contested 4 leg Fell Relay Race, the race starts and ends in Glenridding near Ullswater , with the 4 legs encompassing a full loop of Patterdale.

Leg 1 :  Barry Atkinson and Sarah Attwood  – 4 and a half miles with 1,386ft of ascent, taking in Angle Tarn.

Leg 2 : Andy Holladay and Tim Harvey  –  7 miles with almost 3000ft of ascent, taking in High Street on it’s way to the Kirkstone Pass Inn handover.

Leg 3 : Simon Collins and Giles Hawking – 5 miles with 2400 ft of ascent, from Kirkstone Pass ascending Red Screes , with a steep descent after rounding Hart Cragg , to the changeover in the valley bottom.

Leg 4 : Scout Adkin and Chris Roberts –  Almost 7 miles and almost 3000ft of ascent. Big climb to the top of Fairfield and then down to the finish.

Knavesmire finished 50th of 70 teams.
