—Vale of York Half Marathon.
This Half in the countryside around Sherburn in Elmet is a popular alternative to the GNR and now in it’s third year. 
There were possibly a few PB’s , the one’s I know of are Rob Ward (1:27:44) and Claire Antrobus ( 1:38:43 ).

—Castleton Show 10k.
Harry Holmes storming to victory on the North Yorkshire Moors.
A very hilly 10k through the very scenic North Yorkshire Moors, not one for PB’s , it is known as ‘ a road race for fell runners or a fell race for road runners’.
The race was won by Knavesmire’s Harry Holmes in a time of 35:56 , very quick given the severity of the climbs on the course.
Nik Tarrega was second Lady, Cassie Holmes fourth and Janet Cordingley first F55.

Not content with a race victory on Saturday ( Castleton 10k) , Harry Holmes went for the double with victory at this fell race in the Peak District.

—Yorkshireman Off Road Half Marathon
A birthday treat for Petra Chapman Gibbs and a hamstring straining ordeal for Andy Gibbs. Petra lead the way with a time of 2:48:15 and was followed in by Andy ( 2:51:33).
