Team Victory at ‘Gisborough’ Moors Fell Race

The Knavesmire fell running contingent had another grand day out on the moors this weekend, with the longest race of the winter series – The Gisborough Moors Race, 12.5 miles and around 850m/2800ft of ascent. The route takes in a number of major summits (Captain Cook’s, Roseberry Topping, Highcliff Nab), but still manages to have a lot of good running terrain and some great views. Honley Vets Race report
Report by Pete Downes Congratulations to the 5 Knavesmire Harriers who took on the challenge of the tough Honley vets race. After a nice flat start with 2 laps of a playing field we entered a wooded section and climbed and climbed again, there was a short level section before we climbed again, eventually we did get to the downhill section, but not before going over ploughed fields and numerous stone walls and stiles.
