Country trail race Thanks to one of the YKH newsletters we saw these details and thought why not try something different. Starting and finishing in the lovely village of Kirkby Overblow this was certainly different and really good fun. The 6 mile trail type run took us through some lovely countryside which you got the time to enjoy whilst deciphering the written route instructions. Great fun to run as a group or in pairs as we did. Vet’s Grand Prix Series. Race 1 – Report
3 ‘firsts ‘ at Honley A small but select group of YKH racers ventured into the wilds of the Holme Valley to complete this the first challenge of the 2015 GP series. Offering a combination of steeple chase and cross country conditions this is not a race for the feint hearted but our intrepid team managed three ‘firsts’. Intro to Fell Running Big Success…
On Saturday 14th March the first Knavesmire "Intro to Fell Running" session was held with over 20 members heading out to Carlton Bank on the North Yorkshire Moors. After a brief overview of fell running including race categories, required kit and footwear we set out towards Clay Bank. We split into three ability groups covering between 4 to 8 miles and ranging from 1 to 5 climbs. 50k Canalathlon – report
Report by Kirsty Harvey On a bright sunny Sunday morning (yes really) in Sowerby Bridge, gathered some hardy souls ready to do battle in the Canalathon - a 50k race along the canal towpath from Manchester to Sowerby Bridge.
