50k Canalathlon – report
Report by Kirsty Harvey On a bright sunny Sunday morning (yes really) in Sowerby Bridge, gathered some hardy souls ready to do battle in the Canalathon - a 50k race along the canal towpath from Manchester to Sowerby Bridge. There were some even hardier souls doing even longer distances like 75 or 100k but it was a bit early in the season for me to consider those. Last Call for Calderdale…. 2015 sees the 31st running of the Calderdale Way Relay on Sunday 17th May. This is Britain’s biggest club-run off-road event with around 90 teams and over 1,000 runners taking part in the 2014 edition. We’re looking for runners to join the Knavesmire teams hoping to take part in this year’s event. 20 runners have signed up already, so we need 4 more runners (plus a few reserves) to give us enough for a second team.
