YKH Round Up – Week Ending 19th June.

--R U Taking The P ? 5k Fathers Day saw this popular men only 5k being run in Rowntrees Park. The race is organised by YKH founder Brian Hughes , and many club members ran or marshalled. Yorkshire Vets Grand Prix series – first 4 Races summary.

Report by Vets Captain Neil Stabbs. It’s almost halfway through the year and we’re now 4 races into the 9 race Yorkshire Vets Grand Prix series. After the season’s first race at Honley in April, we’ve since had races at West Park and Kirkstall in Leeds and at Mulgrave Castle, just north of Whitby. --Calderdale Way Relay. This hotly contested event is one the biggest off road relay races in the U.K, with over 100 teams of 12 runners taking part.    The race is comprised of 6 legs which are run by  pairs of athletes from each team, the race taking in the scenic delights of the high moors and deep valleys of the Calder Valley  around Halifax , Sowerby Bridge and Todmordon.
