April Club Run Report & Video – Helmsley 10k Challenge

Twenty four Knavesmire Harriers ran hard and  had fun in the blustery but sunny conditions at the Helmsley 10k Mult-terrain race on Easter Sunday. A mile or two of the road that heads North towards Bransdale,  featuring a wicked little hill, a saunter through the hamlet of Carlton, a bit more road, then a few farm tracks and grassy fields to  cross before the finish. Muddy Boots – Report

It was just as the song goes MUD GLORIOUS MUD, MORE MUD, AND EVEN MORE MUD.  As ever in true grit sytle the above 30 members ran the race and it was great to see Phillip Elliott Dick racing and coming 4th overall.  Kirsty Vogan and Cassie did fantastic too and I cannot confirm for sure but they may have won the ladies prizes.  By the end of the race all I wanted to do was get changed out of my very muddy shoes and clothes.
