–Bishop Wilton 10k
A very impressive set of results from Bishop Wilton last week –http://www.ukresults.net/yorkrrl/2016/race5.html
Not only did we have a fantastic turn out of volunteers to help run the event, we had a fantastic turn out of runners : 72 out of a field of 266.
David Smithers came home first, closely followed by Phillip Elliott-Dick. Emma Yates, John Oliver, Janet Hales and Barry Atkinson all took first place in their age categories.
I hope you all enjoyed the views!

Gareth Preece ran (23rd June) the Suzuki Midnight Sun Run (Miðnæturhlaupi Suzuki) Half Marathon in Reykjavik, Iceland.
As it was his first half marathon, it’s also a PB – 2:06:04!

–Whorlton Run
This 10k fell race on the western edges of the North Yorkshire Moors is almost an off road version of the Bishop Wilton 10k, a large and steep initial climb followed by gradual high speed descending for what seems like the entirety of the remainder of the race.
Knavesmire’s Harry Holmes won the race with a time of 44;16, Simon Collins was third (46:25) and Giles Hawking was 11th (49:54). sadly we were one runner short of a complete Men’s team.
