A lovely spring morning greeted the 870+ runners for the Thirsk 10 mile road race , this race is always well organised and marshalled and yet again they did a great job. 14 Knavesmire Harriers turned out for this event and they did the club proud. -Black Combe Fell Race. - Report by Tom Ratcliffe. Black combe - The words don’t inspire too many positive connotations. It makes you think of murky British weather, rain, drizzle, fog (clag), disorientation, big hills, tough fell running. Believe it or not Summer is not far off, which can only mean one thing.............................SUMMER LEAGUE ! 7 fortnightly races for a total price of £10 - a bargain especially as you will receive a Sweatshop Voucher with your race number, and the club will be providing a buffet lunch after the first 6 races.
