Endurance Training Sessions on Thursday Moving Location

Please note that from Thursday 17th September (6.30pm)  the Thursday Endurance Training Group will be moving it's meeting place. (The Thursday Social Groups are unaffected) The Endurance group will be starting to focus on sessions aimed at getting us in condition for the Cross Country season, they would also benefit those not doing XC. Country Trail Race Series – Report by Maureen Medlar.

Having tried tested and thoroughly enjoyed one of these events at Easter Liz and I just had to try running the Summer Series. Consisting of 4 self guided trail races through a real variety of countryside this series was a really fun summer training exercise. Vet’s Championship Events   The next event on the vets calendar is the Cross Country at Whitby on the 19th September. Details are available www.yvaa.org. Vet’s Grand Prix Series. Race 7 Home Event –Knavesmire 5th August

Another successful event with some great running byTeam YKH. A total of 15 club members ran to collect points for the club with one younger member running as a non points scoring guest. Our ladies all ran well with our team of gents excelling in many of the age related placings. First YKH member home was Neill Stabbs (our youngster) who in addition to being placed 5th overall achieved third place in the M35 category.
