It is a gruelling 23.4 mile course consisting of 5000ft of climbing. Anniversary Waltz - Newlands Valley Horseshoe, Lake District - 19 April. report by Tony Heron. Fantastic spring conditions for the first of the big Lakeland fell races of the year - the Anniversary Waltz (11.5m/3,500ft) and Teenager with Altitude (15m/7600ft). April Club Run Report & Video – Helmsley 10k Challenge
Twenty four Knavesmire Harriers ran hard and had fun in the blustery but sunny conditions at the Helmsley 10k Mult-terrain race on Easter Sunday. A mile or two of the road that heads North towards Bransdale, featuring a wicked little hill, a saunter through the hamlet of Carlton, a bit more road, then a few farm tracks and grassy fields to cross before the finish. Team Victory at ‘Gisborough’ Moors Fell Race

The Knavesmire fell running contingent had another grand day out on the moors this weekend, with the longest race of the winter series – The Gisborough Moors Race, 12.5 miles and around 850m/2800ft of ascent. The route takes in a number of major summits (Captain Cook’s, Roseberry Topping, Highcliff Nab), but still manages to have a lot of good running terrain and some great views.
