YVAA Grand Prix Race 2 :- The second race of the 2017 Vets’ Grand Prix is coming up on Tuesday (30th) at 7:30pm. This one starts from Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds. It’s a varied course with a fast start along the paths around Kirkstall Abbey, followed by a bit of road and then some great running around the woods in Bramley before a return along the road to the abbey. ---Riga Marathon. Colin Lea ( 5:03:07) and Dave Darton ( 04:16:01) ran in the Riga marathon in very hot conditions. Well organised and good atmosphere with lots of music (Queen seems very popular here), and also traditional dancing.etc around the course. Very flat and fast and passes though the centre of the beautiful old town twice.
