York Knavesmire Harriers were out in force on our home turf Marathon. Results :  Yorkshire Marathon Results There were over 40 Harriers running the 26.2 miles and what seemed like a huge number out on the route providing enthusiastic and very welcome support. YKH Medal Haul at Yorkshire Vet’s Cross Country Championship

Vet’s Cross Country Championship  Nunroyd Park 28th September  Beautiful late summer sunshine – soft and grassy underfoot with minimal mud and inclines- not the usual vets cross country conditions! With three medal winning individual performances and a very close run 4th age category placing our seven YKH members did their club proud. Middleton wins Middleton Cup

August saw the inaugural hosting of the pretigious "Middleton Cup", with its honorary namesake, club-legend-John-Middleton, claiming glorious victory. As background, YKH Social Secretary, Richard Tarrega, bet YKH Members Secretary, Alistair McQueen (after a couple of cheeky cocktails - honestly) that Alistair could not beat club-legend-John-Middleton in any of the 2014 summer league races.
