Race 1 - Thornes Park, Wakefield The first race was the October club run so there were a couple of new faces who were trying out some cross country for the first time. They were treated to a lovely warm october day with no sight of any mud. Vet’s Grand Prix Series. Race 8 Spen Stadium 9th November Spen 10 Well done to our 10 intrepid YKH club members who turned out for their club to compete in the last of this year’s G P series in almost perfect running conditions. We headed over to the Middleton Fells, the venue for this years FRA Relays, at the crack of dawn to get there in time for registration and a team lineup change. It had been an eventful last 24 hours with Tony Heron, my planned leg 2 partner, coming down with illness and us having to draft Tom in at the last minute. Langdale Horseshoe Report

Despite York Marathon taking place on the same weekend, myself, Tony Heron, Barry Atkinson and Anwen Darlington decided to head to the Lakes for the last big Lakeland race of the year. The Langdale Horseshoe is a 13 mile course which features around 4000ft of climbing. After an early start and long drive we arrived in Langdale.
