  ---Yorkshire Cross Country Championships - Lightwater Valley, Ripon 07.01.2017. With 18 men and 8 Ladies we had a good number of runners to campaign for the County's  highest honours. ---HardMoors 30   -   New Years Day. David Smithers was 11th with a time of 4:24:37 at this Ultra Marathon distance trail race along a disused railway line and the beautiful  coastal sections of the Cleveland Way between Robin Hoods Bays and Whitby , with a detour out to Ravenscar and Hayburn Wyke to add some extra mileage. ---HardMoors 15   -   New Years Day. ---Stoop Fell Race. Harry Holmes was third and Sam Allin 7th at this great festive Fell Race , where Santa Hats are provided as part of the race entry and have to be worn. Also running in the  5 mile race in the Bronte Country hills near Haworth were Nik and Richard Tarrega and Cassie Holmes. . ---Travellers 6. Maureen Medlar was first F60.
