Great Results for YKH at the Summer League

The final results for the York and District Road Race League have now been  tallied, and YKH have had another fantastic year. Knavesmire fielded between 70 and 100  runners in each race and you all made a fantastic contribution to the series and to YKH's great team spirit , cameraderie and continued success. Results. New Running Track Sessions Start – TUESDAY 14.July.

TRACK..TRACK ..TRACK..............! Big news . Good news, we will be using the new athletics track at the University , the first session there wil be : - 6.30pm on TUESDAY 14th July. Thursday's endurance squad session will from that point become the Threshold session to be held on the Knavesmire. Victory at Danefield Relay

A large contingent of Harriers made the journey to Otley Chevin on a warm June evening to take part in the annual Danefield Relays. Teams of 3 each running the same 3 mile loop which has a killer climb to finish. A great run by our Ladies team of Becky Penty (20:48), Emma Yates (22:25) and Anwen Darlington (22:41) to take victory by over 5 minutes with Becky also running the fastest Ladies leg. Great Team Effort at Calderdale Way Relay

Knavesmire Harriers returned on 17 May for a second attempt at the Calderdale Way Relay Race. A massive event , comprising six legs run in pairs over the steep  hills and along the canals and valleys  of the Halifax area. The hotly contested race is now in it's 31st year and regularly attracts nearly 100 teams of 12 from across the North .
